FIRE MOUNTAIN RANGE NOW OPEN
The Alcan Anderson Creek shooting Club is pleased to announce that major land development and construction work has been completed at the Fire Mountain Range. This project is funded by Rio Tinto Alcan, Federal Recreation Infastructure grant (RInC). and the District of Kitimat. The A.A.C. Shooting Society have negotiated a land use agreement with the District of Kitimat. As part of the Recreation facilities within Kitimat the DOK and A.A.C.S.C. will be jointly managing and maintaining this site.
Please respect your shooting range by placing paper targets on the stands provided. Take your garbage to the dump not to the Range. The longest distance is 400 meters.
Once approved, the new range will be permitted for restricted firearms. There will be a new shotgun range on the property consisting of 5 stand shooting, a challenging multi target presentation course. Watch for this in the coming months.
Membership to the Shooting Club will enable you to apply for your Authorization to Transport (ATT). This permit allows you to transport your restricted weapon to an approved shooting range in B.C.
For memberships to the Shooting Club contact : – Louis Larose 250-632-3237 – Jason Vines 250-632-3151
