Create Your Canada Contest
Create Your Canada is a contest where students in grades 5-10 draft and submit proposals for new federal legislation. Entries can be on any topic you feel is of national importance.
Judges will pick the winner, who get a free trip to Ottawa to help Member of Parliament Nathan Cullen present your bill in the House of Commons.

Canadian Aboriginal Writing & Arts Challenge
The Canadian Aboriginal Writing & Arts Challenge is a national storytelling initiative to educate Canadians about the defining moments in history that have shaped this country and its Aboriginal people. We challenge youth (ages 14-18 and 19-29) of Aboriginal descent (Status, Non-Status, Inuit and Métis) to write a short creative piece or create a piece of two-dimensional artwork about a moment in Aboriginal history; participants can showcase their talent, develop their creativity and win up to $2,000!
